Food of Singapore

Singapore has lots of great sights and activities (which we will discuss in another post).  However, the number one must-do in Singapore is eating.  Here's some of the delicious food all visitors must try:

  1. I love traveling to eat. Great photos Daron and Kirstin!! Could you go into a little detail about murtabak and that carrot cake that appears to have scallions on it?

    Murtabak is delicious! We've eaten similar food before (think burek), but with the curry sauce as dipping sauce, this was unique - and awesome! According to wikipedia, it's a pan fried bread stuffed with minced mutton, garlic, egg and onion.

    Carrot Cake, also known as Chai Tow Kway, is made by stir-frying Radish Cake (steamed rice flour, water, and shredded white radishes), eggs, garlic, and scallions. We ate the dark/sweet type which includes sweet soy sauce.
